The Westminster catechism asks the question 'What is the chief end of man? The answer is 'to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.' As long as God gives me breath, I am to be thankful and praise the Lord with all that I have and all that I am. God is so good to me, He hears and answers my prayers, He is my Provider, Sustainer, my hope and expectation. It is because of what Jesus did for me that I am able to pray and approach His holy throne and be heard.
Well, how am I to glorify Him? With my limited abilities I am still able to read the Bible, pray, and write short blog posts. Due to progressive muscle weakness, simple tasks are getting more difficult. I hope to continue to honour Him to the end. Pray for me that I will remain faithful to Him to the end.

We're praying for you, because our dear Saviour said:Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.(Gal. 6:2). But don't forget that you have a better praying and thanking High Priest Jesus Christ. He'll do all the things He have promised. Jesus Christ is the Same yesterday and today and for ever.(Hebr. 13:8)
ReplyDeleteBeloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see him as He is! (1Joh.3:2)
Yesterday we had the Lord's Supper and saw and tasted the signs of His love. "O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together. O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him." (Ps. 34) Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.(Openb. 19:9) He is coming soon! Till that time He'll bear you, although your limited abilities, and all what He gives you to write is a blessing to many from His child'ren! Nobody's life is worthless in His eyes!
The Lord bless you for this post, brother. All of life is precious. Every day is a gift and full of purpose. Thank you for this reminder. May God fill your heart with Himself so that the joy of the Lord may be your strength.
ReplyDeleteDear cousin, you are here because you are a meaningful witness to many; I am one of those.

Remembering you (and Lena) always in prayer. The Lord will not forsake any of His children. He will uphold you until the day He will call you Home, where you will be able to worship Him in perfection together with all the saints who have gone before.
